About the Recipe
This recipe is a family favorite and has been feature many times at local fundraising events. We love to serve this as a side with a big plate of spaghetti and a fresh salad. It reheats well in the oven if you have leftovers, or you could try it Mike's favorite way: in the morning spread with grape jelly!

Ingredients
1 lb Butter, salted
1 Head of garlic - minced
1/3 cup Olive Oil
1 1/2 tsp dried Oregano*
1- tsp dried Basil*
1 tsp dried Parsley*
1/4 tsp Crushed Red Pepper*
*(or use 2 -3 tsp of our Everything Seasoning)
1 loaf French Bread
Preparation
Step 1
Combine butter, olive oil, and garlic in a saucepan. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat, but make sure not to boil it.
Step 2
Preheat your oven to 350° F. Add the herbs and spices to the butter and oil mixture and continue to simmer it for 10-15 minutes, until the garlic softens. Stir frequently.
Step 3
Slice the loaf of French bread lenthwise and put onto an oven safe tray. Score the faces of bread with a knife at a 45 degree angle. Ladle the simmered butter mixture onto the faces of the bread, making sure to spread it evenly.
Step 4
Bake in your preheated oven for 5-10 minutes, or until the garlic bread has reached your desired level of crsipiness. Remove from the oven and slice into 2 inch wide slices. Serve warm.
